My name is Ed. I live in Chamonix, a place that has a way of getting under your skin, in the best possible way. The mountains here are never just a backdrop; they’re a presence, a rhythm, a constant invitation to look closer. They shape how I move through the world, and they shape how I see it.

I ski as often as I can, not just for the thrill of it, but for the perspective it gives me. There’s something about standing at the top of a ridgeline, surrounded by silence and cold light, that makes everything feel clearer. The snow, the scale, the weather rolling through the valley, these things change by the minute. Photographing and filming in this environment feels like chasing something alive.

Before I lived here, I studied Fine Art. That foundation of looking, questioning, noticing still sits at the heart of everything I create. Whether it’s a portrait, a piece of mountain cinematography, or a quiet detail most people walk past, I’m always searching for honesty, atmosphere, and the feeling beneath the surface.

Chamonix keeps me inspired because it never stops offering new stories. Sometimes they’re found in the mountains themselves; other times they’re in the people drawn to them. My work is simply an attempt to translate what this place makes me feel.
